A mapping feature helps your robot navigate through rooms while an obstacle avoidance function will stop it from hitting furniture, wires or stray pet toys. These are must-have features in my house, stuffed with toys that are scattered about.

1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the top-of-the-line mop and vacuum, so it naturally comes with features. It can sweep and mop simultaneously, and even lift its mop pads or brushes so that soft surfaces don't get wet. It can also stay clear of obstacles by looking for pet toys, plants and other small objects.

The robotic vacuum has a maximum suction power of 6,000 pascals which is more than any other robot vac we've tested to date. It's also equipped with PreciSense LiDAR navigation that tracks its position, which helps prevent it from getting stuck on objects.

The S8 Pro Ultra's mopping capabilities are also impressive. It can apply constant pressure to the pad at over 6 Newtons to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has mop lifter which lifts the pad automatically when it is able to switch between tile, laminate hardwood, carpet or rugs, to avoid soaking soft surfaces.

Additionally, the S8 Pro Ultra has self-washing and self-drying features. The pad is capable of rinsing and drying in the dock. The dust bin will automatically empty before returning to the dock. You can set it up and forget about it. You will only need to refill the water tank, or replace the dust bag on occasion.

All of this is powered by a 5,200mAh lithium-ion battery. The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its usual mop- and vac-settings for about 160 minutes before beginning to lose power and returned to its base to recharge. This is not far off of the 180 minutes Roborock claims, and is on par with other hybrids that I've tried.

This is a very robust and well-rounded product with the only drawback being that it's pricey. But, the sheer number of features makes it a very tempting choice for anyone looking to ditch their old stick vacuums and mops. If you can justify the price, we highly recommend checking this one out.

2. Dreametech L10S Ultra

The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end combination. Its price is justified by its impressive features, which include the capacity to vacuum large volumes and two gyrating mop mops. It also includes a smart, app-enabled controller and a mighty obstacle avoidance technology.

The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop combos available at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my tests, it performed well across the entire home. It was able to eliminate 98.4% debris on any type of floor and was able to lift long hair without getting caught up in. The mops were also great and produced excellent cleaning results with less effort than mid-range models due to their rotational motion as well as the powerful cleaning solution.

However, the L10S Ultra's most significant selling point is its advanced multi-functional docking station. The docking station empties the dustbin into a bag that can be used for dirt, fills up the water tank to mop and also dry mop pads. It is equipped with a real-time danger detection system, and its intelligent controls let you schedule regular cleaning sessions.

Contrary to the other hybrid mops I've tested and compared, the L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced dirt pickup on carpets. In addition, its mops aren't as adept at removing tough stains like those in the premium Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.

Despite the L10S Ultra’s high-end features, it requires regular maintenance. To prevent mildew or unpleasant smells, the base station, dustbag, and water tanks need to be cleaned regularly, emptied, and dried. It is also important to note that the mop pads which are bought separately will need to be replaced on a regular basis too.

Given the L10S Ultra's premium price tag and extensive functionality, I would recommend it to anyone with the funds for it. If you're looking to save money I suggest a more basic model that allows you to save money while still being able to enjoy hands-free cleaning in your home. It's worth noting that even the L10S Ultra is the best mop and robotic vacuum you can buy but its high cost and maintenance costs will ultimately make it more of a wish rather than a requirement.

3. Eufy S1 Pro

If you're in search of a robot mop and vacuum that will pick up dirt and dust on your hard floors, while taking care of wet mess then take a look at the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop combination has a powerful suction power of 8,000 Pa. It also boasts an enormous battery capacity that can be used for vacuuming as well as mowing. It is also equipped with a top-quality obstacle-avoidance technology. It comes with a roller-mop that is self-cleaning and makes it stand out from other models which require you to return to the base station to wash off the mop pad.

The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a big difference from the microfibre pads and spinning discs used in other robots that vacuum and mop. The roller covers the entire length of the robot and it gets a constant supply of clean Ozonated, filtered water from the dock. As it rotates the roller, it scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt, and any dry debris is picked up by the side brushes or swept into the front colision bumper. Like most robotic vacuums and mop sets The S1 Pro is ready to come out from the box. The S1 Pro does need to be refilled with clean water. This can be accomplished in the cleaning dock. You can also add cleaning solution to the dock, if you prefer to have the option of using your own cleaner. If you opt for this option however, you'll need to buy the Eufy-branded cleaning solution, which is more costly than other robot brands that allow you to use your choice of cleaners.

The S1 Pro performed well in the coverage and navigation efficiency tests, as did the majority of robots. It was quick to map a area and navigated around furniture. The only issue is that it was stuck a few times on carpets with longer piles and rugs during my testing however this could be improved as the software is updated. The S1 Pro is a very capable all-in-one robot for an affordable price.

4. Roborock Qrevo

The Qrevo is Roborock's entry-level mop and auto vacuum and mop, but it still has some outstanding features. The dock's multi-function function is emptying the robot's dirtbag, filling its water tanks, and washing and sanitizing mop pads is done by the dock. The mopping system is able to be able to clean a large area prior to returning to its dock. The vacuum's suction power is great for picking up pet hair and debris on carpets.

The software that runs the appliance is quite dense, offering a wide range of options to customize the cleaning process. You can manually clean the entire area that this device maps or select specific rooms, expandable zone, or a custom routine you've designed. There are many mopping options which include SmartPlan -- an algorithm that utilizes the sensors on the mops to find the most efficient way to tidy your home as it maps the space.

The Qrevo did well in our tests, just like the other Roborock models we've test. Its navigation system is robust, mapping rooms quickly and cleaning them in a neat fashion. The 'Normal' setting for pathing does an excellent job of covering a room, leaving no major gaps or missed areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system works fairly well, too although it's not as sophisticated as the color camera system of the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect the dangers of carpets that are thick however it won't always be able to detect smaller items such as rug tassels or electrical wires.

The one glaring flaw of this model is the absence of a mop-after-vacuum option, which could be an issue for those who spend a lot of time vacuuming before cleaning their robot vacuums best. Fortunately, there's a simple workaround: the app includes an option to "clean up" at the end of each session. This allows you to use the mopping function of the vacuum to remove the last remnants of debris and dust that you've left behind from the vacuuming.
